Your mission: 

  • Support our operations and provide expert guidance to improve their environmental performance, accuracy and completeness of environmental reporting (including greenhouse gas emissions, waste generation, water usage, wastewater emissions etc.) 
  • Enable operations to follow a systematic approach to achieve continuous improvement of their environmental performance
  • Support relevant stakeholders around all sustainability topics in the Middle East, West Africa and Southeast Asia
  • Support our operations to comply with relevant laws and regulations, requirements of Mondi Group and in line with ISO 14001 (MAP 2030, Net-Zero, SBTi targets and commitments)
  • Alignment with Group Sustainable Development governance policy, operating standards and guidelines (SD Management System)
  • Perform environmental visits, report on findings and support our operations to address findings
  • Reporting on environmental incidents via Group central system, support our operations to align with reporting requirements, identify root causes, implement actions, check effectiveness of the actions
  • Identify opportunities for improving environmental management
  • Calculation of Sustainable Development impact in CAPEX projects 
  • Developing internal training programs

 

Your profile:

  • Degree in Engineering, Technology or equivalent and solid experience in Environmental Management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing process (experience in packaging industry is an advantage)
  • Good working knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, ability to interpret and analyse sustainability data and metrics, ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
  • Excellent English, any other languages are considered a plus 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 %
